Relational and contextual
I understand problems within the relationships, roles, and systems in which they show up—not isolated inside a single person. Family, organizational, and cultural context matter.
Approach
The higher the stakes, the harder it can be to find a place where you don’t have to perform, manage the room, or already know the answer.
My approach is thoughtful, direct, and collaborative. We can look closely at the decisions, relationships, pressures, and contradictions that are difficult to see clearly from inside your own life. I’ll bring psychological depth and a systems perspective, but I won’t assume everything needs to be pathologized—or fixed.
Principles
I understand problems within the relationships, roles, and systems in which they show up—not isolated inside a single person. Family, organizational, and cultural context matter.
I don't assume that being highly capable and being in pain are opposites. My goal is not to fix a broken person but to understand what is happening and make room for something different.
I draw from postmodern and systemic family therapy, EMDR, CBT, DBT, and IFS, using established methods flexibly rather than applying one protocol to everyone.
I look at where a pattern came from and what keeps it running. Then I look at Tuesday: the conversation, the decision, the thing you keep postponing.
You know your life. I will ask specific questions, offer what I actually think, and bring some humor when the moment allows. The work is serious, but it does not have to be solemn.
I see how you lead, work, relate, decide, rest, and understand yourself as one subject, not several. Relief in one area usually depends on movement in another.
Also available
I may also offer coaching and professional consultation separately, on request. They are distinct services with a different scope, structure, and set of protections—coaching is not psychotherapy, and psychotherapy is not coaching.
Psychotherapy is the primary work I do. If you're unsure which you're looking for, that's a good question for a consultation.
